AÑSA HUB

Research Hub in Alatau City

AÑSA HUB is a research and development centre being established in Alatau City. Vyacheslav Kim is investing $100 million of his personal capital into its endowment fund.

The Hub works with initiatives at their earliest stage, when an idea has not yet been commercially evaluated and cannot attract conventional financing. Its mission is to identify leading scientists in Central Asia, bring their research closer to commercialisation, attract venture capital to projects, and implement social programmes. The endowment gives the Hub the ability to work on a long-term horizon and support research whose returns may only materialise years later.

AÑSA HUB Research Hub in Alatau City

Every new project in Alatau City is a source of long-term value for our countries and a platform for talented people from our region.

AÑSA HUB is open to participation from government institutions, businesses, research organisations, and civil society across Central Asia and partner countries.

I am proud to represent Kazakhstan on the international stage. Our country is creating unique conditions for business development and support. Kaspi.kz is a notable example of the synergy between government efforts and entrepreneurial energy. Alatau City is a landmark strategic initiative that underscores Kazakhstan’s commitment to an innovation-driven path of development and is supported by domestic businesses and international investors. United Group Alatau is one of the business partners of the Alatau City project and is open to cooperation with global capital. For the benefit of our partners, I established the Investment Task Force – a team that supports the first step of any project, from the initial inquiry to a substantive discussion with the Group’s companies and major Kazakhstani businesses working alongside us.

Investment Task Force

A team that helps investors, technology companies, suppliers, financial institutions, and other organisations connect with the businesses driving the development of Alatau City.

Entering a new market often comes down to one simple question: who should you talk to? United Group Alatau and its partners span banking, retail, logistics, real estate development, and technology, with dozens of companies and business areas. Finding the right contact within this network can be difficult from the outside. The Investment Task Force solves this problem: it reviews each inquiry, identifies the right point of contact, and arranges meetings with the people who can make decisions.

The Investment Task Force’s Role:

  • understand the nature of the inquiry and match it with the interests of the Group’s companies and partners;
  • identify the right counterparty and define the agenda for the initial meeting;
  • support the parties through to a substantive discussion and help resolve organisational matters;
  • maintain communication after the initial contact until the project is ready to move forward independently.

The scope of an inquiry can be anything: an investment, a joint venture, a technology solution, financing, a research project, or a supply opportunity.

Leave your contact details — that is all it takes to start a conversation. The Investment Task Force team will get in touch, clarify the nature of your inquiry, and suggest who you should speak with and how to take the discussion forward.
